Traditional finance institutions expected to boost exposure to Bitcoin portfolios
Traditional finance (TradFi) investors are preparing to significantly increase Bitcoin allocations before the end of 2025, according to Wall Street veteran and macro analyst Jordi Visser. Speaking in a recent interview, Visser emphasized that institutional portfolios are on track to expand their exposure to Bitcoin as part of long-term investment strategies.
Institutional Bitcoin Allocations Set to Rise
“Between now and the end of the year, the allocations for Bitcoin for the next year from the traditional finance world are going to be increased,” Visser told Anthony Pompliano during a YouTube interview.

He added, “I think Bitcoin’s allocation number will go higher across portfolios. That is going to happen.”
Visser believes these adjustments will largely occur in the final quarter of 2025, a period when markets are also debating whether Bitcoin’s price will peak for the cycle.
Data Supports Institutional Momentum
Institutional demand for crypto has been strengthening throughout the year. A joint Coinbase and EY-Parthenon survey in March revealed that 83% of institutional investors plan to increase digital asset exposure in 2025.
Meanwhile, a Bitwise report projected $120 billion in Bitcoin inflows by 2025 and as much as $300 billion by 2026.
Supporting this trend, US-based spot Bitcoin ETFs have already recorded $56.79 billion in net inflows since launching in early 2024, with $2.33 billion entering just over the past five days.
Corporate Holdings and Market Signals
Publicly traded companies are also playing a growing role in the market, collectively holding over $117 billion worth of Bitcoin on their balance sheets.
Visser, while cautious about exact price forecasts, noted optimism in technical patterns: “I like the way the charts are starting to play out. Ethereum has been consolidating between $4,000 and $5,000, and once it breaks higher, the entire ecosystem needs to be moving together.”
The anticipated rise in institutional Bitcoin allocations highlights a critical shift in global investment strategies, with TradFi players steadily adopting crypto as a core asset class.
If inflows continue at the current pace, 2025 could mark a defining moment where Bitcoin secures its role as a permanent fixture in traditional finance portfolios.
